The heart of Ashtanga yoga is focused awareness, not physical contortions.

This workshop with two senior teachers explores the foundations of inner stability. We'll look at techniques that promote a more grounded and balanced approach to breath-led movement, and see how this relates to the philosophy of yoga – both in postural practice and everyday life.

Manu Rossi has been teaching Ashtanga for more than 20 years, with level 2 authorisation from KPJAYI in Mysore. Daniel Simpson is the author of The Truth of Yoga, and teaches courses at the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies.

Together, we'll provide an inspiring and empowering guide to bringing breadth and depth to daily practice. We'll begin with a focus on subtle dimensions, seeing how breathing affects our embodiment, then build on this with tools that add a meditative quality. We'll also consider how to take this approach beyond the mat.

Whether you're a teacher, an established practitioner, or someone just starting your journey in yoga, this workshop will be an enriching source of insights. We look forward to welcoming you!
