Yogis communing with texts (Mewar Royal Collection)

These are challenging times. Some yogic texts describe the ultimate state as isolation, but withdrawal from the world isn't everyone’s goal.

To promote reconnection, I invite you to a forum for sharing ideas and inspiration. Each week, we'll begin with a reading from traditional texts, and talk about its relevance to how we live now.

There'll be space to discuss how we feel, and a short meditation. All perspectives are welcome! See below for some previous themes.

Here’s a quote from the Bhagavad Gita (verse 2.56, as translated by Winthrop Sargeant) from an earlier discussion on contentment:

"He whose mind is not agitated in misfortune, whose desire for pleasures has disappeared, whose passion, fear, and anger have departed, and whose meditation is steady, is said to be a sage."

Please feel free to drop in for one session, or to join us regularly. If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover, you can contact me here.
